Barcelona, 1992: motorcyclist Joan Rojas wanted something better than a scarf that kept sliding off in the wind. Drawing on three generations of his family's textile expertise in Igualada, he engineered the first seamless, tubular headwear — and named it Buff, after the Spanish word for scarf. More than thirty years on, roughly 90% of every Buff is still made at that same factory outside Barcelona, now sold in over 70 countries. Original, functional and endlessly versatile, it remains the multifunctional headwear every other brand is still trying to copy. Today, Buff holds roughly 90% share in its category and is a certified B Corp — credentials that back up the design.
